I didn't keep track of tomato production in 2018. Seems like to I that every other year. But I did take lots of pictures including a cute frog & a not so cute gecko lizard. There are lots of geckos all over my garden. I guess they eat some of the bugs ... but not all of them as I have to spray my tomatoes several times each season for brown catepillars.
Peppers were planted on Feb 24th and tomatoes on Feb 25th this year. It's great when I get them in the ground in Feb. Allows more time for plants to grow and flowers to set before we get to June. By the first of Jun, the low temps in Houston are above 70 and regular tomatoes just won't set fruit anymore. See chart below for dates when vegetables were planted in 2018.
